ABOUT ICON360

Welcome to ICON360, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to dismantling the barriers facing Black designers and fashion programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Our mission is clear: to empower and elevate Black talent within the fashion industry through essential financial resources and professional development opportunities.

Founded by Brandice Daniel amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ICON360 emerged as a pivotal support system for designers of color during unprecedented times. Initially established as the non-profit arm of Harlem’s Fashion Row, our commitment quickly expanded to encompass HBCU fashion programs, recognizing the urgent need for inclusive growth within the industry.

The fashion world has long grappled with systemic inequities that disproportionately affect diverse talent. History shows that systemic barriers––financial, racial, and social–– have existed in the fashion industry since its inception. These obstacles have caused creatives of color to be overlooked, leading to missed opportunities and marginalization. Regardless of their iconic contributions and trendsetting ability, Black talent has remained dynamically underfunded, undervalued, and underrepresented.

At ICON360, we stand at the forefront of transformative change, advocating for a more inclusive and representative future. Since our inception in 2020, we have proudly granted over $2 million to Black fashion designers and HBCUs, fostering innovation and resilience across communities.

Join us in shaping a fashion landscape that celebrates diversity, equity, and opportunity. Together, we can redefine what it means to thrive in fashion.
